Anyone familiar with a D & D 6 into 1

Post by radwing »

Years ago I had a 79 CBX and I installed a 6 into 1 canister style system that I am almost positive was made by D & D, is anyone familiar with this exhaust? Does anyone currently have one? It was the best sounding exhaust I have ever tried on the CBX. I also had a Winning 6 into 1 which also sounded amazing. Loking to buy either of these if I can find one.

radwing,
I am familiar with and have owned both as well. I do like them myself. The good news is that there are still some of both systems out there and I am sure that you will find what you are looking for. You might check with Bill Brint at Tim's if someone here doesn't have one for you. Good luck on the search.
Best,
Phil

The D&D and the Kerker 6-1s shared the same header. Bob Frantzke in California had some of one of them a while ago.

Correction: I think it was the DG 6-1 that had the same header as the Kerker.

Some pics of a D and D on page 2 of this thread. They also made a chrome version.
I have always liked the upswept design of the muffler.

I love the D&D units. Have 2 original units (not canister) one Jet Hot coated & one Chromed.

I had an early one back around 1980. They only came in flat black back then. Looked similar to the one on the silver 79 in the photo . I loved that pipe. When you got up in the upper RPM's it sounded like a Porsche Turbo on steroids. I would love to have another for my 80.
