Fun photo...My Bodyguard.

Post by steve murdoch icoa #5322 »

Finally got the CB160 out for my first ride on it. It will have to wait.
The bike has been sitting for a few years and the clutch plates are stuck and the petcock is leaking. Tomorrow.
Took this pic and it reminded me of a bad '80s movie about a kid that hires a bully to protect him from other bullies...My Bodyguard.

That is funny, Steve :D :D
It shows very well, however, how much motorcycling evolved in the 1970s.
Quantum leaps were made by virtually all manufacturers.
Suddenly, a 450cc, which was considered a big bike for years, was too small to be commercially viable.

That photo is good fun. The little bike looks mint!

Ha! What a cute little brother to the X.

It can be more fun to ride a "little" bike to its max potential than to ride a superbike to 40% (which I would be lucky to achieve!).

Thanks for the fun pic.

What a study in contrasts. How will you choose between them when the 160 is running?
Too much fun, both bikes !
Ya just have to love old(der) bikes.

That didn't take long.
Finally got the new clutch in and the carbs semi-sorted.
Great fun to bomb around on a little bike. 50 mile ride ending up at this working Grist Mill.
On some weekends they engage the water wheel and operate the mill.

Cool, Steve!
I know what you're saying about the "little bike".
While it is really not THAT "little", I always get a kick out of riding my GB500. It is such a great, light bike and even rolling on the throttle really hard, it remains completely controllable. Fun is the word. 8) 8)

Great ride, Steve. That should be more fun than any of the 'biggies'!

While out for a short jaunt i got to watch this crop-dusting helicopter spraying fruit trees.
Fast, loud and VERY agile. Sounds like excellent qualities for a bike.
