SAD NEWS

Post by gogiburn »

My very good friend and CBXer Carl Caemmerer past away wed morning.he fought a valiant fight against cancer surviving 2 major surgeries and numerous bouts of chemo. In the last 3 years I never heard him complain once about his pain or situation. Some of you may have met him at the first Marlinton Rally where he showed up with his son in a Chrysler car with turbo he was so fond of.he also had several CBX's among other bikes.John Paul and Bill Hertling got to right with him with me and so did Mick.He was one of the nicest guys you could meet.I will truly miss him as a friend and riding partner.
If you'd like to send a card his address is 25 lake shore drive monroe ny 10950

Never personally met Carl, but heard of him often as he was an active CBXer and contributed on the internet frequently. His passing is certainly a loss for the CBX community. RIP Carl!

Only knew Carl from this website where he frequently offered his help and encouragement.
I loved the phrase in his avatar..."Say It Loud...I Own a CBX and I'm Proud."
Rip, sorry for the loss of your friend.

Ripper, I had the privilege of meeting Carl a few times [Marlinton, Morganton, Marcus Dairy and …?]. He was truly a nice person. It was always obvious that you and he were such great friends. My sincerest sympathy to you, his family and all his friends.

I'm sorry to learn this. I swapped a few messages with Carl when I first arrived on the scene and he was very welcoming to me. I hope he's in a better place now.

Ripper, just saw this thread now and like all who had a chance to meet Carl, I'm shocked and sad. Carl was a stand up guy and my only regret is that we didn't ride enough together ! :(

I never met Carl, but he had to be a good guy to belong to this group.

Very sad to hear this.
