'79 Headlight bucket.

Post by vwbug7777 »

Hello, Could someone tell me if there is another bike that uses the same headlight bucket as my 79 CBX.
Reason is the plastic bucket has developed a crack along the top, where the chrome ring catches inside, and I guess over the years it's had enough! The 2 screws in the 5 and 7 o'clock position are holding the glass in but not for long!
Thanks.

Any of the '79-'83 Honda F buckets will fit.
Not identical but functional.

Original buckets are available on ebay ever so often. One popular conversion is to a Suzuki GS1100 headlight, which is larger in diameter and looks good on a CBX.

You can also do an EBAY search for Train Lights, Yamaha also had the 9 inch bucket but they are as hard to find as the GS1100, I have one I'd sell but it needs the lens.
