Great site Carl. Somebody posted it a couple of years ago but i lost it.
I mentioned the problems with the Fram to a couple of guys but they found it hard to believe. I can prove it now.

Wow. That's good to know. In Canada a major consumer parts supplier is Canadian Tire. It will interest me to see if I can deduce whose filters their brand name is made by. They sell a tremendous amount of them. they also have Fram and Quaker State "brands".
I do think that any filter changed regularly is Ok for cars but then there is the question of quality ,and if you are the unfortunate person to have an oil -filter related meltdown there's no way you could claim it. So the quality rating is pretty important. thanks for posting this link!!!!
