I have a 1979 project bike I will be starting soon. It has stock wheels.
I've always liked the look of the solid PM wheels, but don't know anything about them.
Did they perform OK?
Were they stock width?
Did they use stock drive cushion, brakes, etc.?
Any downside to them?
Anyone have any for sale or trade?

The downside on the solid wheels are mainly the effects of crosswinds on the stability of the bike. Maybe weight.
It is a matter of personal taste, but I don't care for them much. On a Harley they may look in place, maybe. Solid wheels were very popular with drag-racers, and that, I believe, is the origin.
On a CBX, a nice three- or five-spoke alloy wheel looks much better, IMHO.
