M/Cycle ATC Jack

Post by broook »

:D Canadian Tire has an ATC - M/Cycle jack on sale this week for $129-00. can.

[$95-00us] :D

3 Questions.

Has anybody used one :?:

How do they compare to the Sears jack :?:

How do you lift a CBX with no bottom frame rails

The guys on the ATV list give the Sears jack a really good write-up. It comes with hold

down straps. I think they sell for $149-00 can [$108-00us].

$129-00 for the Can. Tire jack appears to be a good price.

Sears jack

Post by SS »

Hi Brook

I like my Sears lift, but I prolly lift my CBX incorrectly, because I let the bike rest on the exhaust (stock) pipes.

Also I really only use the jack for washing.

I have both the Sears & a heavy duty Larin jack. the sears is just plain easer to use.

Do you have "Sam's Clubs" in Canada? The offer a jack like the sears, but with adjustable arms, & stands that would allow picking unique lift points. It's price point in the US is about $80.00

Thanks for reply Steve.

No Sams Club that I know of in Canada but judging by your reply the Sears lift is OK. Don`t know about lifting the "X" on its pipes though!

There were a few posts about a year or so ago on the Brewer list about various lifts available in the US. but but not in Canada. Unfortunatly I did not pay much attention to it as I was not in the market for one then.

cycle jack

I bought a "Sam's Club" type of jack, paid about 80 bucks, US. As mentioned, it DOES NOT fit the cbx as is. The exhaust is the lowest exposed part, and I would not lift the bike by them. A mod. needs to be done to make this non-adjustable lift (at the catch point) usable. JJD
