Re: Street parking a CBX is stupid
stupid? no...risky, yes. I'd say if someone has secure parking available like a garage they're being very careless(or trusting) leaving their Z on the street overnight. Even before I had a garage I'd still park it out of sight behind my home at night.
Daytime parking is different than overnight parking, if you're parking outside at work or shopping at a mall it's unavoidable but even then I try find the safest spot possible. Night time is when your property is most at risk.
I've experienced thefts(3), vandalism(4) and hit and runs(2) on my vehicles over the years that I now only park on the street if I have no other choice. If something were to happen to my Z I'd very upset, I sleep better knowing it's 100% secured in my garage.

CBX a work in progress, still improving...GS1150EFE completed and awaiting modifications.....RD350, remnants in boxes scattered throughout the garage

Same here. If not actually using the bike, I always ensure is secure. Is why the issue with the accident. No way was it going to sit in some field lot waiting to be looked at! Especially when is a huge building for indoor storage not being used.wyly wrote:If something were to happen to my Z I'd very upset, I sleep better knowing it's 100% secured in my garage.
