Auction

Post by Backyard »

The Greenfield Iowa Honda dealership was closed in the 80's everything was left as is with new and use bikes and parts . On September 6 2015 VanDer Beck Auctions will sell the contents . There are two CBX new bikes, one has 43 miles the other 265 . Also two sets of sport controls [ new ] will be sold . Many other bikes , Goldwings , 750';s BSA's new and used . I found this on Hemmings site . Should be something to keep track of .

Some nice pics in this article.
It would be fun just to go through the inventory and see what all is there. Nice pile of gas tank boxes.
Where is the decal on the CBX side cover. Did NOS come bare?

The 43 mile red 79 is shown with engine removed and dismantled as well. Strange why dismantle a 43 mile 79? Must be more to it than they are telling us?! There is a very nice Black Bomber CB450 on there and a CB92. if I win the lottery I will be over on Sep3!!

Go to www.vanderbrinkauctions.com and click on Auction schedule and scroll down to bottom of page and you can look at every thing listed for sale.

A video of the shop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pWEysHP ... e=youtu.be
Don't think it is such a good idea to blast everything with a power washer but i guess they figure "shiny" sells.

My buddy David Silver is flying over for the auction so he must think it is worth the trip. Now he has his US outlet makes it easier for him. Might ask him to bid for me. Mel #1876 :flags-australia: :flags-canada: :flags-usa: :flags-wavegreatbritain: :auto-sportbike:
