Project thread! I am restoring a Z1!

Post by NobleHops »

Gang,

Forgive me for I have strayed, but you may enjoy it all the same. I am in about the third inning of a total restoration of a 75 Kawasaki Z1, which you can follow along here if you like:

I am also keeping progress updated on Facebook which may be more convenient than the KZRiders forum, please wander by the RestoCycle page here and "Like" the page, and that will get you updates in pretty real time, right in your Facebook feed.

Go, Nils! 20 minutes from where I live is one of the "largest" NOS and old Kawasaki parts dealers in the U.S. I used him a lot when I "restored" both my 1973 H1 and my 1982 KZ1300
If there is anything you need, let me know.

Just read the entire build thread - very nice! Reminds me of the H2 still on my lift I should get to one of these days. Maybe some vapor blasting needed in the near future!

Love it, I'm hoping to pick up a z1 or 900 at some point with the same intent. Keep the pictures coming. Good luck.

Let alone the excellent work you are doing in restoring the Z1, your documentation skills are fantastic.
Keep up the good work, Nils.

I have been slightly low-key about that as I have been blasting tons of parts and testing a lot of process stuff, but I am nearly ready for customer work, and then I will be beating the bushes. So you will be the first to know when I am ready Dave, but your money is not legal tender in my shop, friend :-).
