Crazy pair of CBX, Pic heavy and other bikes as well

Post by RJ CB650 »

First, these are not my pictures. They are from user K1W1 from the Triumph Tiger forum. As result, this is the only picture he took (or at least shared) of these heavy modified CBX. Fantastic pictures though.

Second, I would really love to learn more about these so if any of you have info?

To respect the amazing quality of his photography, below is link to the original thread he posted as well as a direct copy of the post he made on the Tiger forum April 4th.

Beginning of his post here:
The annual Easter "Broadford Bike Bonanza" is on today and tomorrow (Sunday) at the state motorcycling complex at Broadford about 100 km north of Melbourne. The meeting is completely non competitive and just gives people a chance to get out on the older Speedway, Long Track, Trials, Enduro, MX or Road Race bikes and have a play with mates. Many people camp at the site for the weekend.
This years theme is "Bathurst" to celebrate the annual motorcycle meeting that was held there over Easter up until the early 1990s.

Ahh yes, those CBXen belong to Roland Skate. Those get raced down under.

Those are "The Beast" (the twin shock) and "The Beastess" (Prolink). I chipped in (along with several other folks) on the crank that is in The Beast a few years ago when Rol blew it up.

He visits here now and then. Great guy.

Thanks! Will look more into them. They look to be of fantastic craftsmanship. I asked permission to share the pictures here and said it was okay, just asked to acknowledge/reference. All the pics are fantastic so I had to share it as I found it!
