Some time in November, Honda produced its 300-millionth motorcycle in the Kumamoto factory. It was a Goldwing model. Also 2015 will mark the 40th anniversary of the GL.
The first mass-production bike Honda made, was the 98cc "Dream D" in 1949. Today, Honda produces "Power Sport" models (ATVs, Motorcycles and Side-by-Sides) in 32 plants in 22 countries.
After the departure of the GL from Marysville in 2009, Honda has only two plants left in North America: ATVs are made by Honda of South Carolina in Timmonsville, SC and Motorcycles in El Salto, Jalisco, Mexico.
