Thanks, Gents.
It is a fun bike to ride.
Holiday weekend for us as well so extra cops and extra tourists might limit the rides for the next couple days.

Wheels are a one-off from Sun Rims. I think Buchanan owns them now.
They were on the bike when i bought it about 15 years ago.
2.50 x 18 front, 3.50 x 18 rear so i can get a 150 BT45 on it.
I love the look and have not any maintenance issues with them.

Re: What did you do to your bike today?
Was having trouble with the fuel mixture settings. 4 Carbs good, 1 Carb fouling, 1 Carb flooding.
Bike would run sort of ok around town until 1 carb would foul. Out on the highway , bike would check fire, back fire, fart and act up. Gave up trying to work out the problem so took it to a great mechanic.(1.5 hr drive away)
He found the problem. I had gone back to stock air box and jets and somehow despite being really careful I had 1 carb with 2 primary jets in and 1 carb with 2 secondary jets in. Got the bike back yesterday and today took it out for a good high speed run.
Bike now sings wonderfully.
I am really digging the MotoGP 6 to 1 header and exhaust.

Re: What did you do to your bike today?
Took my bike out of short-term storage at the home of a friend in the city and into long-term storage at the shop of my cousin in the country. For about 10 years I've only dealt with one towing company for my bikes and I thought my son would enjoy seeing the cool custom rig they use for hauling motos and I brought him along.
And on the other side, my cousin snapped this proof of life photo showing our two old Hondas side by side getting the literal red carpet treatment:
I don't like the thought of that bike marking it's 40th birthday in storage, but I am very stoked about the plans for what happens before it's back on the road again.

Re: What did you do to your bike today?
I am disappointed, Phil.
Next time that long term storage could be done at my place.
No red carpet and the odometer reading will significantly higher but i like to help out when i can.
Agree on Motolimo.

[quote="steve murdoch icoa #5322"]Out for a ride a couple days ago and came across this beauty at Queenston Heights.
It is 1959 Porsche Speedster 356 A. The owner says it is mostly but not all oem and drives it regularly.
I am not a huge car guy but do know "cool" when i see it and this one was cool.
Beyond cool!!!!

Very nice. Especially a "Speedster". Have been dealing in vintage cars the last couple of years and prices for these are going in the stratosphere!

one thing I really suck at is setting up a photo opportunity or even remembering I have a camera in my phone so I mess up or miss entirely a great shot...here's opportunities I messed up in the last two weekssteve murdoch icoa #5322 wrote:Out for a ride a couple days ago and came across this beauty at Queenston Heights.

a D type Jaguar, have been selling for $3-$20 million!
the photo fail here is my bike was parked in the lot directly behind the open hood, had I moved a few steps over I could have captured both in the picture
another day after a ride I stopped for a coffee at Starbucks and beside what I thought at first was a Lamborghini only to see the Jaguar symbol! WTH! the same colour as my bike, I sat down with my coffee and searched google to see what model this was ...a C-X75 one of only about 7 or 8 made!...only three were sold at auction, I can't imagine what it costs...anyways my photo failing was not only getting a pic of the CBX beside it but getting off my butt and getting any respectable photo...
I did watch someone else get the picture of both...
I suspect both jags are owned by the same collector who has his own private museum in a hanger, not surprisingly he's a buddy of Jay Leno's

I did get a pic of a somewhat rare 1969 CB750 sandcast ...not the greatest pics I was cramped for room in a jammed bike shop...they wanted $50K for it...
