Does this seem like a clutch adjustment issue?

Post by RJ CB650 »

Dunno if this is an issue, but here it goes.

Anyways, after a serious fight to get the clutch adjustment screw cover out. The locking nut wasn't threaded on too far, face of nut and the screwhead pretty much flush, looked odd to me.

Next, with clutch engaged, there is wiggle in the adjustment screw, not in and out, but side to side. Not much, but a little. I don't remember noticing that on my nighthawk which has a similar adjuster.

Either of those off or big be wary things?

Also, that is pretty grungy, will definitely need to do some oil system cleaning.

Looks perfectly normal to me, but you won't know about adjustment until you actually check it. One turn out from fully seated.
