"CBX Book II" ... Pre-Production Books

"CBX Book II" ... Pre-Production Books

You will probably have heard of the rare 41 Pre-Production CBX-Zs that were hand-built by Honda with sand-cast engines ... well here are the 6 "Pre-Production CBX Book IIs" that I have used to mark-up corrections/additions as the Book File progressed. They are a jumble of notes that I made while compiling the Book.

I am getting a load of help and support from ICOA-Jan, usedCBXparts-Louis, and SixCenter-Bert so I have decided that each of them will get one of these Pre-Production Books as a small token of my appreciation.

I show some photos of these below, along with photos of page examples through the new Book. More info at https://www.facebook.com/groups/171923629534314/

Best Regards, IAN

So I amble down to the kitchen to fix myself a Sunday morning coffee. Then, I open My I-Pad and note that Ian has put in a FEW new posts. Like we needed THIS ! Ian, I am, breathless, with anticipation as it is. Multiple posts like this ? They sure aren't helping to lower my stress levels ! I feel like a kid counting down the days until Christmas. Well, an OLDER kid, and my blood pressure isn't what it was 'back then' either.

Steve,

That weenie little bookcase ain't going to be strong enough for the new "CBX Book II" ... especially if it is beside its brother, the original "CBX Book". The new one is now bigger and heavier than the original one at 2.5kg+!!!

Best, IAN

Well Ian I must ask the 64,000 dollar question, was it any easier the second time around?

Looking forward to this one too, save me a copy!

Hi Jeff,

It was easier to sit down and start the Second Book, but it takes the same amount of time and effort to compile 440+ pages!!

I meant to email you that my cross-USA trip has had to be postponed till January 2015 due to Work, so keep your eyes open for any good value 1975-1985 Superbikes in Canton Ohio area!

Best, IAN
