Old brain housing group is fuzzy at times, but seems to me I bought an early CBX from a dude in Brunswick, Georgia with 24 bent valves due to a broken cam chain and the engine number was 56 with a whole bunch of zeros in front. I fixed it and sold it for $2200. I lived in Jacksonville, Florida at the time. He said he bought it new and sat at a light and wound the engine and when dropped the hammer the chain broke. Said he'd been drinking at the time. I gave $400 for it. Charlie

Very interesting! Would have been great to know where this motor came from. CB1...044 has engine serial number ...00061 and CB1 ...045 has engine ..00064 and the first engine serial number officially sold to the public was supposed to be ..00060
