I suspected a sport touring version would be next after the FZ-09. Funny how they mention it as a possible replacement for the FZ-1 -- not many people consider that a sport touring bike (although that's the way mine is set up).

Re: Lighter Yamaha FJ ?
It was really funny to see that at the Progressive Motorcycle Show in Cleveland. They had an FZ-09 there with some accessories typically for touring, like a handlebar mounted GPS. We were joking with the Yamaha rep, if they were thinking someone riding abike like this, would need a GPS to find the way where to go.....Z Grand wrote:I suspected a sport touring version would be next after the FZ-09. You can buy one right now - just visit your local Triumph dealer. Love my Tiger 800XC.

Love my explorer, although it goes in for the ECU recall on Monday.

Re: Lighter Yamaha FJ ?
The price point will likely be a big selling point if Yamaha keeps the same budget philosophy as they did with FZ-09, we'll see only time will tell.
