Dave Ditner Update

Post by Jeff Bennetts »

A few of you know Dave Ditner, he has been a fixture in the CBX community since the beginning. He has a 44 yr old son who has been in the hospital since Feb 1st and has had a turn for the worse.

Here is the info straight from Dave:

"Gotta go north. My kid (44 yrs old) has been in the hospital with congestive heart failure since Feb1. Today his ticker stopped and it took a team of 6 20 minutes to get it fired up again. I've got a flight out of Tampa @4:46 PM, will be in MI about 10:15,....................Prayers and good thoughts both requested and deeply appreciated. This scares the shit out of me.
He is an RC freak, is really good at tuning those nasty little two strokes. and it looks like the nitro fuel they burn did him in. I understand, maybe too late, that it effects the heart valves. You guys that mess with that shit be sure you do it in well ventilated areas. Neither of his shops were."

That is so tragic. 44 years old. Awful. So sad for Dave and the family.

I have the same shit along with A-Fib so it kicks my ass sometimes. Just finished up another ten days in the hospital due to a massive infection in both lower legs. Agent Orange was a wonderful thing. Seem to have everything under control for the most part at least. Have to have a drip feed of antibiotics every morning for an hour that sucks, but you have to do what you have to do. Can't cure my congestive heart failure nor my A-Fib, but maybe we can keep in under control. Prayers for Dave's son going out. Best............Charlie AKA Cammer.

Very sorry to learn of your illness too Charlie. Sorry as well to hear that our government doused you with that shit while you were in service to us all. Hope you rebound hard and fast.
