My Bodyguard, Part Deux.

Post by steve murdoch icoa #5322 »

To go along with the CB160 from a couple summers ago, i have been putting together a 1966 Honda S90[instead of working on the hot rod '79 CBX like i should be].
Still need a few pieces. The difference between years and models is surprisingly large.
With its massive 8 hp[on a very good day] it will be fun to bomb around on a couple times a summer.

I had one of those Steve. Great for bombing through heavy city traffic. Would get through narrow spaces as long as I kept my knees close to the tank! Memories!!!

Steve-O,your use of the term 'bomb around' , seems cringe-worthy
Few, if any, of the other members seem aware of the one-man crime spree you were on last year :o
I dunno, but a devil-may-care attitude like that is just bound to get you more face time with the local OPP detachment :laughing-rolling:
Oh and, that bike is just a killer too 8)

If we get caught at 50kmh over the speed limit then there is real trouble. I am not sure this bruiser will be able to exceed ANY speed limit by that much.
Less than that and they will have to catch me first. haha.

Rotating the stock in the garage and took a couple pics of the finished '65/'66 S90.
Both it and the CB160 are not show bikes but good 10-footers.
A recent encounter with the local constabulary has convinced me to limit the road use of the little bikes.

What did they nab you for? Cops seem to be a humorless lot the world over.

Insurance is too expensive here[$500.00} to cover a bike that i will ride a couple of times a year.
So i put the CB160 in the back of the truck and take it out in the country for a romp with very limited traffic and cops. Rolled through a stop sign and out of nowhere the only cop for miles pulled me over.
A stern lecture and a "go straight home" and i was on my way....tail firmly tucked.
He had given me a HUGE break so no street riding for a while with the little guys.

Steve-O, you're a very dangerous fellow. And here I was thinking that your escapades of last season had made you see the light. You just can't help yourself, can you ?
Then again, those little Hondas of yours are just TOO nice to ignore, plated or not.
How was it to ride ? I mean up to the point that you attracted, yet again, the wrong sort of attention.
