Custom CBX from England.

Post by steve murdoch icoa #5322 »

Mel, any chance you know these guys? CRC?
So many nice bits on the bike but to my eye the tank is too lumpy. I do like spokes!

Hi Steve,

No,not heard of them as they are at the other end of the UK to me. I see they are based near the Ace Cafe so will let the Southern Group of CBXERS who meet at the Ace know about them. If I get any feedback will let you know.

Nice custom with the right hardware, but me don't like the "cashew" shaped tank... Doesn't work with the reat of the bike's lines...

Hi Jp,

Just seen that the UK CBX club had that special on their stand at last weekends Stafford Show. I understand Carl Woodcock their chief technical advisor has been doing work on the engines. They are building four of them. At least one of the frames has been powder coated. They have also powder coated one 79 & one 82 engine and Carl says in the latest UK club mag that they looked stunning. They build their own exhausts as well. Hope you are ok?

Hello Mel ! all is well, thank you.
Winter approaching here and time to repair my CBX from the deer encounter!
This CBX custom made in UK would make a nice story for the CBXpress !
All the best to you!

Hi again guys,

The CRC special is featured on page 21 of this weeks MCN. Says fitted with six Keihin flat sides,Ohlin's front and rear and Racefit titanium exhaust system. No price given I am afraid. Will try and find out. If you can't buy MCN from your local store go to http://www.themagazineman.co.uk
