question for louis

Post by cbxtacy »

If I'm restoring a '81 CBX and get the original brake fluid out of the rear brake of a '81 KZ1300, could I use that in the restoration process? Would it help my score? Should I have to get fluid from a KZ manufactured in the same month as the X? Are you familiar with the standards set by whomever sets the standards?

George,

Only '81 'X fluid can be used. Contact Louis at usedcbxparts@hotmail.com, he may even have some NOS '81 tire air. :)

George, You can not use that fluid in a Honda. Kawi fluid (original) has this stuff in it ( Stuff is top secret) to keep the brakes from overheating. If you use it in a CBX it will melt the brake lines. If you want some original CBX brake fluid I can send some to you. It has never been used still in original resv. It will be $654.29 I also if you act NOW i will throw a used set of original brake pads and wait if you paypal me within the next 60 seconds you will get a free set of steak knifes.

I purchase my brake fluid locally. How much for the steak knives by themselves?

$654.29 (but they come with brake fluid without stuff in it), louis told me. I can get you a discount if you can wait for me to drive my big truck through Redding, have $600 cash and I'll provide the knives and brake fluid. No charge for delivery either. If your CBX has the original exhaust, it's bound to be full of pollutants by now. Bring it and I will also dispose of it-no charge (boy I feel generous today). Thank you for doing business with me today. :D

I don't know, Phil, someone else gave me a CBX frame, and I have a GSXR750 swingarm and rear wheel. I told my wife that I have 4 CBX's. If I assemble another, I'll have 5. I'll just tell her that I failed math in skool. Would you look at that, a couple wiring harnesses and a tank laying around. Oop's, I accidently dropped the harness and tank on the frame, I hope it doesn't accidently fall on the engine and swingarm. I could blame it on squirrels, kind of like THE ELVES by Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm. I wonder if she'd believe me. It's a good thing she doesn't know about this web-site.
