Anyone riding these days?

Riding CBXs that is. Who’s getting out and terrorizing the local two lanes? How about using this thread to elaborate and show some pics of your bike and the countryside? As soon as the rain stops I will.

Last month I rode my ProLink from Tucson to Gila Bend and back (200 miles) with the happy new owner of this 79 that Nils restored. He continued on to SFO via the coast riding 1000 miles over 3 days.

Great! When it’s not raining I get out quite often and will continue on my new Prolink. Living where I do in the Sierra foothills makes riding very easy. In and out of the three national parks nearby is a breeze.

As soon as I am able, I will be on the road as much as possible. I have to ride quite
a distance to get to somewhere scenic. The weather here has been great for riding.

Brought the Prolink to a curated show on Sunday, and as usual tons of folks really enjoyed it.

What was said that evoked such a response?

“Nils! Be handsomer! Be handsomer!” And I was throwing up my hands, “I’m trying my hardest!”

Joe and I have some funny friends here.

I got in a 196 mile loop today on my new bike over the Golden Chain hiway (49) in the Sierra foothills. I better be careful as I’m nearing 35,000 miles already! I’m loving the new Galfer SS brake lines. Much better feel. I had never used Kenda tires on either of my previous CBXs but this one had new ones fitted when I got it and I’m surprised at how well they stick. Anyone else get out?

Got in 162 Smiles today riding to Shaver and Huntington lakes. Got as high as the Tamarack Ridge over 7,500’ between the two lakes. Was COLD & extremely WINDY up high. Huntington lake was nearly frozen over but Shaver, in the distance was ok. Some of the pics show the stick forest left by the huge fire they had up there recently.

They’re excellent tour bikes aren’t they? Too bad there’s not a ‘like’ button here.
