The model has been around for about 20 years but, Honda won't bring it to the US. Down on HP for a 1300 cc bike.

Actually, it’s Honda’s 30th anniversary model to celebrate their Project Big One. 111 HP, 85 torques, I don’t think Honda was going for high HP numbers here but concentrating on a higher tech standard JMC, fly by wire, different driving modes, 45lbs lighter than the last model.

All in all I’ll take my 99 Kawasaki ZRX any day as far as looks and HP VS any standard bike from that area but I do like what Honda did with the newer tech for a standard JMC.

The CB1300(S) with the paint scheme, shape of tail piece, red frame, gold wheels and gold engine covers was always reminiscent of the 80-83 CB1100R. Especially the half-fairing version which is visible in glimpses. I had the privilege of riding one in Germany years ago. The torque and the handling were impressive. Horsepower = top speed, torque = acceleration.

Absolutely, that’s the first image that popped into my mind, CB1100R. The paint and body work reminds me of some of the prototype renderings of the new CB1100 before it’s release back in 2010.

I'd love the opportunity to throw a leg over one for a bit, but that video is quite annoying. I don't need to see the horns 43 times, but would like to see a complete bike.

As for toque v. horsepower, I can ride my MG Griso through the curves a lot quicker than I take my Blackbird. Down 80 hp? I'll take that grunt out of the corners any time.

Either garage is too small or we have too many bikes. Or Momma's car needs to go outside.

I wish they would bring that over, That's a pretty bike, Close's I can get is my 95 CB1000 The Big One. Which I really enjoy, If you need to pass no need to drop a gear just roll the throttle on and zoom ! I'm with Rick I like the torque!
There was a picture posted I think on this site of a earlier CB1300 painted in 79 CBX Candy red sure was pretty.

Bob, Well it could have been, it's been awhile. But Now I'm wondering how easy was it to get the CBX engine in that CB1000 frame Wowzeer ! Or is that Photo shoped.
Looks sharp, but have always liked the Tail on the CB1300 vs CB1000.

Nils, jt, I would like to say it's mine but it's not.
Seen at a bike show by a friend who sent the pic to me.
A very nice bit of work indeed and it looks like it's OEM from
the Honda factory. I wish he had taken a few more pics of it.
