Mecum Motorcycle Auction - Las Vegas Winter 2019 Day 5

at time stamp 2:07 an 81 CBX sells for $23,000 +++ with 18% buyers premium, tax and shipping I calculate he is in over $27,000.

An 84 - CB1100F sells for $14,000 at 2:05

Use left and right arrow keys to jump through, hold the key to FF

Looks like flawless is bringing big money but if flawed the price drops fast. Monkey Bike for $12K ?

Big thanks for the video!! Was a most interesting auction. That '81 sale was incredible. The '82 that went for $10 was just as nice. Thanks, again.

Yes I am wondering what the details are on the 81 for 23k. Must be close to 0 miles? Anyone know about that bike or the collection it came from?

Somewhat interesting too: the '81 had a reserve of $10000. Who knows?!

The '81 was not perfect by any means, but nicer than most. It showed 1700 miles and could have been a former school bike. I could have found two excellent Pro-Links for less money than that. And remember, there were TWO guys willing to pay that much!

Generally, the CBXs brought OK money, but not great, except for that '81. I thought a couple of the nicer early bikes might have brought a bit more, but there were no truly excellent ones either.

that's amazing price for an '81...difficult to gauge condition watching the sale on the internet and see what the bidders are seeing or not seeing...
CBX a work in progress, still improving...GS1150EFE completed and awaiting modifications.....RD350, remnants in boxes scattered throughout the garage

Caught that auction on TV, some amazing sales ! from the Swedish Museum bikes
Did I get this right, a almost new RC30 went for 100 G's while a NR750 sold for a lot less (60's ?)
Also a older Paris Dakar Beemer sold for over 30g's !!!
