A Looooong Week !!
I thought I would wait a week before posting anything. Times up
I am sure that there must be a special place in Hell for those left hand turners we all dread.
I sacrificed my body to save my beloved '79 CBX. I am bloodied, bruised, and broken but will survive.
I think the most painful is the fractured rib and bruised collar bone. Poor me
The bike on the other hand, could have been much worse. The engine guard and right side exhaust
saved the rest of the bike. I am in the market for a R/H exhaust in mint condition.

Sorry but sounds you were lucky it wasn’t worse. Those accidents are tough to prevent but can be devastating. Glad you and the bike will recover

Re: A Looooong Week !!
Phil glad you pulled thru it. Them rib injuries hurt every time you move around. I have been there. I did a 110 mph speed wobble and the bike won because it thru me off. 3 days in the hospital. This was 40 years ago but I remember it as if yesterday. That engine guard really saved the engine. Oh well all them parts can be replaced. I hope you have a fast recovery.

That stinks, Phil.
Hopefully the driver is facing the appropriate charges.
Great to see the engine guard held up with that amount of rash on them.

Ok. I'm convinced. The crash bars go on this week!
Hope you're ok.

Re: A Looooong Week !!
So sorry Phil ! , most important is that you did not incur more serious injuries, even though the rib and collarbone hurts like hell ! (I've been there) , the bike is minor, can always be fixed! If it can be any consolation, just think that it could have been worse physically and that it could have been with the Martin!
Wishing you a prompt recovery !

I've seen the crash bars come up on ebay often enough...mint or NOS exhaust yeah they're probably out there but finding them may not be so easy...

That's a shitter, Phil. Hope the 'clown' gets taught a lesson in court and insurance. Won't make it any easier for you. Hopefully, might -just might--, save someone else. Here's to a speedy recovery. Be thinking of you.
