CBX's In Estate Auction - Peterborough, Ontario

Post by cbx4evr »

Was made aware of a couple of CBX's that are going to auction located in the Peterborough, Ontario area.

A 1979 and a 1982 CBX are going to auction along with a mountain of other items. Nice toolbox setup among other stuff.

Wishing it was much closer to me.

I wouldnt mind the touring 79, but judging by. The state of storage, probably fair bit of work to get em running. Could be a steal or a gouge depending on interest.

Basically the same thing I told the person who contacted me asking what they might be worth. For the right person there might be a deal to be had. Auctioneer gave the family an estimate of $3500 for each CBX. Given that the auction is mid-week the chances are good that they will probably sell for less but we all know how CBX bidding can go.

I venture to guess he will get a fair amount for the firearms as well. Those Winchester 94's all look to be pre 64's. I would love to have one of those!

Seems to me they are all very collectable. Perhaps one with a long, octagonal barrel.

I'd be bidding against you. I had one that I bought new in 1991. Sold it in mint condition and low mileage about 8 years later. Would like to have it back.

Just imagining it now.... Family thinking they will be getting good coin for rare and valuable CBX. They go for like 2k a piece but these two strange old blokes paid a premium for a dirty Tracker ^.^

there's an easy and quick 3K for the 79 just in parts...tank, tail, fender, oem pipes, seat...hopefully a scraper doesn't get it...
CBX a work in progress, still improving...GS1150EFE completed and awaiting modifications.....RD350, remnants in boxes scattered throughout the garage

Apparently these CBXs weren't prized

Too many toys. Something has to suffer. He got old. It happens.
