Hi Guys,
I could do with some local knowledge in USA. I need to Rent a 26' Truck to go from LA to Baltimore in February. I have booked with Penske (who I have always used) but they are charging me $3,700, have messed up the return-location, and won't respond to emails!? Is there any other Company you guys know of that would give me a better deal and respond to their Customers? I have AAA card so may make it a bit cheaper ... I'd prefer to spend my $$$ on Bikes and not Rental Trucks!!!
Any help much appreciated.
Best, IAN

I did a brief search. U haul wanted $4135 for a 26' truck and budget wanted $3600 for a 24" truck. Not sure if AAA would get you a better rate with either.

I paid $1200 for a 26 foot Penske for 4 days. I think you're stuck.

Ian, checking Budget website, just now, the offer is $3200 for 10 days (unlimited miles). That's LA to Baltimore. Price increases with each additional day. (Not knowing how long you intend to be here.) I didn't look at any other sites.

Thanks for the feedback previously guys ... it helped enormously with my Trip across USA in Feb.2016.
The Trip actually got turned on its head ... due to lack of Titles for some Bikes I had to delay Shipment and haul the other Bikes back to CA. I had a great drive across the States and met many of my CBX-friends along the way (I'll write an article for the Club mag!).
The cheapest and easiest Truck Rental I found was still with Penske ... and it turned out to be a great running new Truck which I covered 3,900 miles in, in 7 days!
Thanks again guys for the "local knowledge!!"
Best, IAN
