Warm, light, fits well and although its "waterproof" my guess is that its only water 'resistant' but at that price, its a great bargain. I've been satisfied with TM Cortech waterproof overpants for some time now and they (are) waterproof. I also wear TM 'Solution' boots and they're waterproof, as well as a good bargain.

BTW, I have no $$ interest in newenough but their prices and customer service have always been good.



Got in a couple hundred cold miles this weekend with my daughter on back. The 82 ran great with new Kendas and brake pads. The Kendas do need some warm up time on wet and cold pavement being 6 ply nylon but they stick pretty well after some heat.

Good stuff! I think we should do this more often. I am sure a lot of people would be interested in hearing about actual experiences with gear and equipment.

I totally agree with Mike, we should offer more "real" info to fellow bikers instead of the normal sales hype supplied by vendors........

Yes.............I agree more product test reports from Xers are very valuable references for us all.



In saying that others might read the report I have to offer my very humble opinion that "600 denier Polyester" is on the lite side for crash abrasion resistance.



1000 denier Cordura is about as low as you want to go....again in my view

Agree, but only if I were wearing some w/o any armor. Having gone down on a low slide some years back wearing very good leather but no armor I've learned that where even 1 zillion denier Cordura or the thickest leather may be your friend, ARMOR may be your saviour. All my gear has armor padding at all the key points and if I'm lucky enough not to slide forever on a section that's not armored, I'm hoping I'll fare better than w/o it.

We agree that armor in any garment is better than without it.



Do we agree that 1000 Denier Cordura is lots better than 600 denier nylon in any garment from an abrasion standpoint.........with or without armor?

I've got a jacket of similar design from Joe Rocket. Its very comfortable even with the heavyweight leather.

I have a JR Jordan Racing team leather Suzuki jacket that's probably similar to yours except for all the sponsors names on it. Its HEAVY too but only when holding it. When its on it doesn't feel near as heavy as it does when its off. Fits really well but doesn't have a removable sleeve liner like this one does. My older FS textile jacket has seen a lot of miles and except for some zipper problems, I have no complaints. Hopefully this one will hold up as well.
