I have bought 2 sets of lines from Apex Brakes in Toronto with excellent results. http://www.apexbrakes.com/
Fast service, good pricing and lots of options.
They also sell on EBay under the name of Rennsport.

I like the Speigler a lot, the ability to rotate the the fittings for the last little bit of perfect fit is a nice touch. But they are not the best deal price-wise, likely worse for you being in Canada.

hey guys

ive used the spieglers on my cbx and my vf1000r and they are great. one tip is perhaps send them your old lines so the can get all the bends in the fittings just right. i had a couple that were not fitting and sent them my stockers and they fixed them right up.

thx

Plus-1 on the Speiglers. They are absolutely first-rate and less than $200 for a full set. One caution that Kent noted is that you need to specify exactly the type of fittings you need and the length of the top line. Dennis at CBXMan years ago sent Speigler the specs on all the CBX brake line configurations, but some weren't correct. I've been trying to get their specs corrected little by little as I order various stock sets. They have the bottom 2 lines down pat, but you must specify early or late as the fittings are different at the calipers (they know this) but the upper lines and particularly the sport kit ones, need to be specified for length and fitting type. I get all mine in black lines with silver fittings, but they have all colors of lines and fittings. And they will remake anything that's not right.

Dave if you think about it, maybe mention that to the Speigler rep at the next Mid-Ohio Vintage Days, the rep from Dayton is usually at their booth in vendor's row.

The rep from Dayton, OH is Matthias Shaub (sp?). He owns Spiegler USA. That's who we bought our toy hauler from.

You have to take the stock grommets from your lines and slip them over the new ones - don't know any brake line supplier that supplies the grommets.

...and the ID of the stock grommets is usually too large for the steel lines. I cut another piece of rubber hose to fit between the lines and the grommets.

It is a loose fit on the Speiglers too, but if the clamps they go in are snug, the lines just move inside them and work just fine. But you can shim them too if you want to.

I'd be willing to bet that the grommets they install won't match up nor fit with the holders on the fender and the rear torque arm. If they don't they're worthless. Check carefully before going that route.
