Speedometers

Post by CopperCollar »

I have the guts to a 150 mph speedometer and an 85 mph speedometer thanks to Dave.

I have a 150mph speedometer with a broken needle, very faded faceplate and the silicone fluid has coated the interior. I pulled it apart and found the odometer 10-7 as well.

The 150 mph speedometer guts from Dave are 10-7 with serious rust but the 85 mph speedo guts look good. It appears I can use the odometer off the 85 mph speedo, the gearing also seems to be the same. I'll confirm this later when I discover the method to take the guts apart. The guts are mostly staked and it looks like they will have to be ground/cut.

Anyone else have experience with these things.

Mike
