In search; what was it?

Post by cbx6ss »

Recently I thought I saw a picture of a bike with a duel headlight, full plastic, and a narrow pyramid tail here. Yesterday I saw a white one at a light with no markings. Anyone know what it is?
Thanks.

Hard to say from the description. Do you think it was something new or older? Have you checked the photo-album to find the picture you saw here? The narrow pyramid tail points toward a late model bike. Were the headlights round or cat-eye shaped?

I think it may have been older. dual round headlights. The tail was a verticle flat surface; about 9" tall, 7" wide at the bottom, and 3" wide at the top. It had an undersize rectangular tail light towards the bottom of that surface. I looked way back in the pix unsuccessfully. It may have been a link to another site. I believe the pic I saw previously was taken in a garage from the left rear of the bike. I saw this bike in Lakeridge VA.

'86 VF1000R? They had the dual headlights.
John Smarsh? has a couple of them and he lives in Independent Hill, Va.

The dual headlights on the 86 VF1000R are not that pronounced. You have to look close to see that they are dual. Also the tail description doesn't fit a VFKR, really. The all-white bike could be a repaint, but it also may be a hint what the thing was...still thinking.

Either garage is too small or we have too many bikes. Or Momma's car needs to go outside.
