Post by Duffey Lake rd. »

#MCVICO Vista Cruise Control/Throttle Lock
https://www.ebay.com/itm/370988145971?h ... R-7QgOCAYQ

Relieve your cramped right hand with the Vista Cruise throttle clamp
The thumb lever has a short arc from the off to on position
Requires no grip space for installation
Ideal for long-distance cruisers
Fits bikes with 7/8"handlebars
- Move the throttle rubber hand grip over 3/8" to the right
- Trim about 2 mm off of each side of the outside bottom tab of the throttle clamp with a 8" round bastard file
to fit between the dual throttle cables
- add some rubber grease to both sides of the plastic washer between the throttle clamp and handlebar grip
- I used a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol to clean the gripping surface on the plastic throttle cylinder
- the thumb lever sits near the top and just to the left of the handlebar grip on the CBX, the USA stamp is at the bottom
it sits a bit higher than the one in the illustration
- The throttle clamp grip is adjustable with a slot screwdriver or little key that is included
- One of the best-looking throttle locks available

DESCRIPTION:
Have you ever noticed after a few miles of riding at a steady speed how much your hand and wrist fatigue? Well, I have good news, you aren't alone. The folks at Sound Off Recreational Inc. have devised an affordable throttle-holding device to help you deal with this issue. The Vista Cruise Control is a device engineered and manufactured here in the U.S.A. The S.O.R. throttle locks are made to the same standards as the first one they introduced back in 1976. Their goal is to be: functional, affordable, durable, and rider-installed. All of the S.O.R. cruise controls have been time-tested over millions of miles by thousands of riders. The cruise control works by counteracting the throttle spring tension. It is activated with a simple flip of the thumb lever. This gives you positive speed control at any setting without throttle creep. For safety’s sake, the cruise control can easily be overridden with a twist of the hand or completely disabled by the simple flip of the thumb lever. When properly adjusted, at NO time is the throttle locked solid. When the lock is engaged, the throttle stays where you put it, yet it remains easy to turn back and forth. When the lock is turned off, the throttle returns to its normal function. The amount of throttle holding pressure when the lock is engaged is adjustable making it as easy to override as you are comfortable with. It is a non-electronic device that makes installation quick and easy.

I've been using them for decades. Some thinning alteration to the "fork" may be necessary to tightly fit between the cables (prevents rotation).
Made of glass filled nylon.

Yes, This model requires thinning alteration to the "fork", about 2 mm on each side.
There is another model that has a clamp on the handlebar that connects to the throttle lock with a bar to hold it in place, but this one just uses a fork.
The other model looks over-engineered.
