can't figure out side stand mount

I am really not this stupid



Help, I purchased a nice 81 supersport at the Las Vegas auction last week and it was missing the side stand. So I was able to order one from honda dealer. Problem is I see no where for it to mount. Does anyone have an illustration of picture of a correct fitting. I appreciate your help

hi bruce



click "album" on the upper part of this page and check the various cbx photos with sidestands in use to see approx location of the sidestand mount ....then look in that location on your late model



if you still cant find it e me and i will put you in contact with members that live near you that you could visit and check their side stand mount locations (team222@paonline.com)



bruce this is a good reason to join icoa......members helping you on q plus be able to provide you part souces where items like a side stand inc spring and rubber safety item will cost you alot less than any honda dealer



btw dont be so hard on yourself about not being able to find the sidestand mount...when i got my last new bike in 1989 (fzr1000) i could not find the oil drain plug anddddddddddddd i had a close up photo of where it was in the owners manual!!!!!!!!!!!!!
