Tire size

Post by jt »

Any of you guys run a 110x90x18on the front of a 79, specifically a Avon Supervenom, or another brand. I am going to use a 2.5x18 rim? Need to know if it will fit or if it will rub on the fender. Any other issues? The reason for the 110 size is to try and keep the diameters of both wheels nearly the same, the 100/90 is almost a inch shorter. The back tire will be a 130/90x17.

Thanks

110/90-19 on my 81 rubbed against fender when mounting wheel and handled like it had a flat tire. Believe it or not, it was shop's mistake in ordering and they made good- sort of. Then they mounted tire backwards, which I noticed after I took it home. Again I had to bring it back. 4 round trips to get tire fixed.

True story.
