Have just removed the front mudguard for spray painting and need to remove the retainer that the Tacho cable runs through.
Can someone provide the key to removing the retainer?

Heat gun on the back side under the fender.

I did the same thing as Tevan, applied some heat with a hair dryer and it made the rubber pliable enough to pull through the hole.
