I mentioned that was now a problem.

I did some online searching and it looks like the complete peg assembly may still be available. Pricing is in the neighborhood of $80 each but once you have them the replacement rubber pieces are less than $10.

Complete peg part numbers are:

50630-ME7-000 - Right
50640-ME7-000 - Left

These are from the CX500T and CX650T. I don't have one of these to actually check if the peg mounts are identical but maybe some one else has experience with them.

I think I have found the solution:

Do a search on Ebay for:
Footpegs Honda XL 1000 V Varadero 99-13
Footpeg Assembly for Honda CB 400 92-05
Footpeg Assembly for Honda CBR 600 F3 95-98
And lots of other Hondas

Very cheap (£6.95 pair) compared to the $80 each people are talking about on the forum.

Foot pegs are so similar only a rivet counter who doesn't ride would notice the difference. Who in the real world notices how many bricks are in the footpeg rubbers?
Honda CBX1000Z 1978
Kawasaki H2A 1973
Kawasaki H2C 1975
Kawasaki H1E 1974
Yamaha R1 2009
Harley Davidson XR1200X
