PAINT OR POWDER?

NEED TO RE-BLACK THE BRAKE CALIPERS AND HANDLEBARS. GENTS, PAINT BRAND AND COLOR RECOMMENDATIONS PLEASE?
OR SHOULD I JUST POWDER COAT THEM?

The powder would last longer.
I had a bunch of parts done including a set of calipers done in semi-gloss black. They looked great but the coater was not diligent enough in covering the bolt holes. A couple of seconds with the Dremel and everything was fine.

When I did my calipers, I used caliper paint and it's holding up great
thru many blessings and line changes - on my bars I did it with a
satin black fron Eastwood - I figured this could be touched up if
ever needed. So far everything is great !

I had the same experience as Steve - the powdercoater was not super careful to mask the sealing surfaces, but this was quickly remedied with the dremel and a mini wire wheel. HOWEVER! Later I wanted to degrease the pads and sprayed some brake cleaner into the caliper maw, thinking I'd wipe off some casual brake fluid I'd accumulated on the outside of the caliper. Big mistake - it lifted some of the powder right up and I had to disassemble it and have it re coated.

Also there is the look of it - powder, for good or ill, renders a slightly 'melted' look to all the sharp edges and details. They get sort-of rounded off looking.

Short version: If i had to to do over I'd have used caliper paint like Bob did, it would be easier, cheaper and faster and I could touch it up myself.
