check your primary chain slack the easy way!!
Hi,if you want to know the condition of your primary chain look at the oilpipe that is mounted behind the alternator,after 60000km the chain begins to hit the oilpipe and after 120000km the oilpipe is almost totally damaged and not doing its yob anymore,lubricating the chain!!!

I am managed to download the pics
only 3 bolts too get here and you do not need a new gasket to buy because there is an o ring between
after 60000km>>37000miles
after 120000km>>74000miles It is not advertising for the used cbx

FYI - that is not the correct bolt for the oil pipe - FWIW.

Wind you not on a wrong bolt but a misaligned oil pipe is much worse,dont you agree?
I had a xl500 and xr500 years ago with the almost the same problem ,the chain for the cams hit an oilpipe in the cranccase that dilivers oil to the head of the cillinders

But sometimes the wrong bolt is the wrong bolt. Would make me wonder what else might not have been carefully attended to. But your point is a good one about the primary chain. I have, however, seen an 80,000 mile engine with no such damage. A lot depends on how it was run and treated. Nonetheless, a very easy way to check.

Agree, Dave. That particular bolt looks to be straight from Home Depot. Hope it was the correct thread, eh! Not a SAE wannabe.

It actually looks like a primary chain rubbing block bolt. A bolt like that also holds the top cam chain rubbing block. It's supposed to be an 8mm-headed flange bolt. Honda used bolts like that, just not there. As Pieter said, probably a minor point in the end.
