cbx 125 custom

Post by gevin »

Greetings,

I'm from hungary and I signed up here because i've got a little unique issue.
I have got a CBX 125 custom last summer and found out that this is a bike that had been only sold in japan. Therefore it is really hard to find anything about it. Some websites provide the most basic parts(brake pads, exhaust, spring oil, etc), but for example I could'nt find anything about oil filters.
It would be great if you could help by providing some info about maintenance, maybe have a japanese owner's manual, which I can translate later and find out any important stuff.
Thanks for your help

Hello and welcome, gevin! Unfortunately we will not be of much help here as this forum is dedicated to the Honda CBX, the 1047cc, 24 valve DOHC inline six that was sold produced from 1978 to the end of 1981 as a 1979 to 1982 model.
As far as I know, however, the CBX125 in some form was sold in Europe and is a popular starter bike for 16 year olds in Germany, for example, on a restricted motorcycle license. You should be able to find things on ebay.de

As far as I know, the same engine was also used in the CBR125, which is widely available in Europe also, and again, you can find service manuals on ebay.de

Good luck!
