Valve shim adjustment tool description wanted

Post by beedub »

Is this a complicated unit or just a plain (flat) piece of steel cut to a curve?

Is there a lip or groove on one side?

If someone could describe it and/or send a photo of it lying on a piece of 1/4" squared graph paper I would like to see if I can make or invent something like it.
Big and small, I like them all....bikes that is...

Just take a piece of 1/4" square stock about 5" - 6" long.

Taper one end down to fit into a small file handle.

Bend the other end approx. 30deg and taper it down to suit.

When you start the adjustments you will see how much to taper it off.

Nothing to it. :D
