B Cam Chain Guide Needed

Post by Samelak »

I am getting everything ready to perform a valve adjustment. According to Mike Nixon's guide, it says to replace the B cam chain guide. We're do I get one of these?

I think I recall that Louis was refurbishing these, and I'm sure Tim's sells them if they are NLA fron Honda. Louis postal mails stuff pretty much immediately, which I think works best for you, right Lee?

I did not see it on Tim's and I'm not sure they can be refurbished since they are plastic. Once they are old and get brittle, that's probably it.

The "B" tensioner is still available from the dealer, 14530-422-000, for about $70.00.

The "A" adjuster is available from Louis. I bought one for the Travesty. I don't remember how much I paid but I do remember going Holy Cow!

That said, I am glad someone makes them else we would be up the creek without a paddle.
