Oversize Copper Headgasket

Post by banjobill08 »

Hi all,
Can anyone supply me with details for a 72mm headgasket, I need to know availability before I strip down the motor?

regards.

G'day Banjo Bill.
I have copper head gaskets made up for my engines, by ridgecrest.com.au
In Australia, Peter has made many gaskets for my CBX's. He has a pattern on his CNC, so you just have to tell him what size holes, (72.5mm?) and what thickness and Bob's your uncle.
I recently had a 1.2 mm, 72.5 mm gasket made and it was around $100 Australian, plus postage.
Maybe worth a try if you can't get one in UK.

If you buy a copper head gasket, they are re-useable and use white threebond 1211, as a sealant.
I only browse this site every six months, but I hope that I have been of some assistance.
Regards
Rol.
