bike smoking

Post by DevonCbx »

I have received some replies regarding my CBX smoking. Now I tried an oil additve called "Lucas". I added it to my oil change. This additive greatly reduced my CBX smoking.

Now don't take my word for it for your bike. I am not a mechanic, but I tried this product and it really seemed to work. When acceleratong or deccelerating I see very little, to no smoke. This is what I see in my mirror. I am going to ask somebody to follow me as I open up the bike and gear down.

Thanks all for your knowlege and input.

Lucas has a whole line of "problem solver" additives. One of them is a leak stop for engines that is supposed to address old and leaky seals. Quite possible that the stuff works. You will have to monitor to see if it lasts!

I will keep in touch. I'm heading to the garage today to hook up a GPS system.

Thanks
