1982 clutch thrust washers dimensions

Post by bkweis »

I am looking for the dimensions for the clutch thrust washer for a 1982 cbx. I do know the inside diameter 30mm but need the outside diameter
and the thickness or if some body might have two of them I can buy. Thanks Brian Weis #2516

Hi Brian,

Don't know if this helps, but my 82 parts list shows the part # to be 90458-MA2-000 (Thrust washer, 30mm, quantity 2).

Good Luck. Steve

Brian, I will measure one, but I think the outside diameter is 30mm, not the inside. Consider 30mm are 1 1/4 inch!

EMS, did you measure thrust washer? Would be interesting to have thickness on it.

:D :D Outside diameter 44.9mm (44.5mm), inside diameter 30.1mm (30.0mm), thickness 0.92mm (0.86mm). I am not 100% sure whether this is the 422 or th MA2 part, however. I have two of them loose in a box, not with a clucth assembly

Thanks EMS! Thickness is the open issue for me. I do not know have the MA2 2xwashers same thickness as 422 washer. I will measure the 422 washer and compare against the figures you gave.

422 washer; OD 42mm, ID 30.1, thickness 1.6mm. So, seems that EMS´s washer is from MA2.

Brian:
Apparently my messages to you never got there. I do have an early model clutch sleeve for you to modify. I'll bring it this weekend.

Seems that you gurus do not know the PL washer thickness or you are hiding it
I have tried to get this data almost two years without success. This post was not started by me, but the result seems to be same as earlier
