running great?

Post by DevonCbx »

I don't get it. Sometimes I have a fuel leak and sometimes I had back firing. Took the bike out for a ride last night. It never ran so good.

Last week I went for a ride. Started running out of gas, then used the reserve. The carbs seemed to lack fuel for 30 KMS. I did get the bike home. Later in the week I refueled the bike. Well after sitting for a few days, went for a ride. The bike runs great again

Devon, I find my bike likes to run, the longer it runs the sweeter it is...I think the flushing effect of fresh fuel is the key here... 8)

Duane, I have the same problem with my '81 and thought it might have been petcock related.

The tank is getting cleaned and sealed. Maybe you have some crud in the lower portion of your tank?
