it's time

Post by cbxtacy »

and now I need something. Once you get a CBX timed, it usually doesn't change. It's been years since I've timed my bike (s). It used to be so easy when I used my Honda Degree Wheel part # 07974-4220001. It seems to have disappeared over the years. Is there something else I can use? I can set the timing accurately without it but it's difficult to check the total advance without it. I guess my next step is to check motion pro.

thank you motion pro, part # 08-0092. Just have to use a longer bolt and spacer so it clears the pickups.

Maybe Larry can photoshop it on your bike, George  8)

Besides, I thought you were told to put away the toolbox and let someone who really knows CBXes work on it :? :?

Yeah but that was in a different thread so it doesn't count.

I have a collection of 422 and 469 advancer's and want to check out the difference in advance at 2300 to 2500 and at 5600 to 7000. According to the shop manuel it should be 23.5 and 31 degrees. I believe the 469 will have less advance at 2300 to 2500 and if I still detonate if timed properly using the 469 then I need to take all the liberal wienies that live here in CA and vote for the legislators that enact descriminatory laws against real men and their toys and convince them to vote otherways. Can I do that?

Maybe I'll go on the road for a couple days and let Kayeboo time my bikes.
