Engine Storage Tip

Post by Tom Neimeyer »

CBX'ers,

Here's a tip for all of you fortunate enough to have a spare engine. You can use rubber bathtub stoppers to plug the intake and exhaust ports on motors stored in the shop or garage. There are all kinds of insects that like to hide in dark holes and this should help keep them out of important places. Sizes vary by manufacturer but I found that 1 1/4 stoppers fit the intakes and 1 1/8 fit in the exhaust.

Cheers, Tom
