Big Bore?

Post by relisysxx »

Starting to look into rebuilding a CBXz motor that I bought in bits a few years ago, the standard bores are in pretty good order so I could just put a new set of rings on the original pistons but it also came with a 1150 big bore kit (new) AND a set of MTC high compression pistons in first over size (also new). Anyone have any experience on either of the options?

I'm currently using a set of cruisinimage 3mm oversize pistons and have almost 7,000 miles on them. I'm happy with them. No issues or complaints to report at this time.

Decided to go with standard bore and pistons so ordered up a new set of rings so the 'big bore' and high compression sets can go back on the shelf.
