Engine to be started after 4 years

Post by AshishNJ »

I have been working in this custom build for a while.
Engine oil had been drained about 3 years ago. Engine was running well
I did leak test and all cylinders are showing around 7 to 9 % of leak.
Adjusted all valves , did a health check on clutch plates , rebuild starter , rebuilt carbs.
My plan is to have all new oil filter , start engine and change the oil filter again.
I am wondering if I should add anything to engine oil the first time that would do a cleanup of any sludge or old deposit, before I replace oil filter for the second time.
I saw this product and thought I should ask experienced Folks here before I do any https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/mot ... lsrc=aw.ds

I expect others, who know more than I do, to answer, here. However, if were me, I would start with some good Honda oil. Run it 500 to 1000 miles and just change everything. Above all, I wouldn't add anything to the oil. Seriously, that went out with the flathead V8. (Ran kerosene to clean those.)
