Aluminum crank mounted degree wheel....

Post by Jebbysan »

Hello!

I am starting to prototype some ideas that I have had over the past few years.....
One is a degree wheel that mounts right up to the crank hex on the right hand side of the motor.
I like degreeing from here much better myself.

I am gauging interest to see if if there is enough to see if I want to see it through.....
It will be all aluminum....and although I don't really want to describe how it holds just yet....It works!

I will keep cost down as low as I can....plus the more I make...the cheaper it is.

I made a mockup for myself and have been using it for 3 years.....and for me it is the only type I would use.

What do you think? Critique welcome.... :text-feedback:

Jebby, engine rebuilding is out of my mechanical ability so a degree wheel is not something i would be using.
But thanks for your efforts in making the job better for those people that do.

.
Steve: I don't think you have to go into "engine rebuilding" to have use for a degree wheel!

Jebby: Great idea! I would be in for one or two!

Mike, i get that rebuilding an engine is not required for using a degree wheel.
I was just referring to the fact i could not provide any "feedback" or "critique" that Jebby was looking for.
